How to Register Your Vehicle Online

• Visit the Parivahan Sewa Portal : Go to the official website of the Transport Service and click on the “Online Services tab”.
• Choose your state : Go to Vehicle Related Services and select your state. After that, the names of RTO offices in your state will appear there. Click on the RTO office that is closest to you.
• Fill the application completely : There you will see a new vehicle registration form, fill it completely. In that form, fill in the engine number of the vehicle, chassis number, and information from your Aadhaar card. Similarly, upload all the documents like insurance address, pollution proof certificate there.
• Pay the registration fees : Pay for registration, road tax and number plate online. If you want a fancy number, you will have to pay extra for it.
• Track the application online : After filling out the application completely, submit it. After that, you will get a tracking number and you can track your application from home by entering that number on the portal.

Book Fancy Number on Sarathi Parivahan

• Visit the parivahan sewa website : Open the Fancy Number section. There, click on “Online Services“. Then click on the Vehicle Related Services button and then click on the Choice Number or Fancy Number option.

• Select Your State and RTO : After selecting your state here, the name of the RTO center will appear, click on it and the fancy number website portal will automatically open.

• Check Availability of the Fancy Number : There you will see a list of available numbers or you can search for the number you are interested in here. Then you can click on your favorite number and reserve it.

• New users must register : Here you click on the register button and fill in your name, address, email ID, mobile number and vehicle details. After that, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Verify the OTP and your account will be opened.
• Select and Reserve the Number : Click on the fancy number you have chosen, then make the payment and book that number.
• Pay the Reservation Fee : You can make the payment online through debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking. After the payment is successful, you will receive a payment receipt and application number.

• Allotment of Fancy Number : After the fancy number is confirmed, you will get an allotment letter, after which you have to go to the RTO and submit that number.
• Final Registration : After successfully registering your fancy number, you will get a registration certificate i.e. RC book and your number printed on the number plate.

Keep the following things in mind when getting a fancy number

• The starting price of a fancy number can start from 5,000 and go up to 1 lakh. It all depends on the series of that number and its price is determined by how much demand there is for it.
• Reservations for fancy numbers are valid for 30 days.
• When booking a fancy number, use the official website and do not use third-party websites.
• Any technical help, contact the RTO helpdesk or Parivahan support.

How to Apply or Renew Fitness Certificate

Vehicle Fitness Certificate is very important as it tells you whether your vehicle is roadworthy or not. Here is information on how to apply for Vehicle Fitness Certificate online or renew it online.

2. Go to Online Services and click on Fitness.
3. Select your state and RTO name.
4. Enter the last five digits of your vehicle’s registration number and chassis number.
5. Fill in all the basic details here and then fix a date for the appointment.
6. Pay RTO fees online
7. Visit the RTO and get your vehicle checked.

Validity of Fitness Certificate

• If you have a private vehicle, you have to renew the Vehicle Fitness Certificate after 15 years.
• If your vehicle is commercial, it has to be renewed after 8 years.
